Sorting and Filtering
Sorting
Click the Trade Day, Time In, or Time Out column headers to sort the table. Click again to reverse the sort order. An arrow indicator shows the current sort direction.
Filtering by Broker
Use the broker/account filters in the sidebar to show only positions from specific brokers or accounts.
Use the Net/Gross and FIFO/Positional toggles in the sidebar to change how your P&L is calculated and how trades are matched.
Pagination
The Position Log displays 20 positions per page by default. Use the pagination controls at the bottom of the table to:
- Navigate between pages using Previous/Next buttons
- Jump to specific page numbers
- See total position count and current range (e.g., "1-20 of 150")
- Change how many positions show per page (20, 50, or 100)
Quick Journal Entry
Click the journal icon (book or pencil) in the Actions column to quickly add a journal entry:
- A modal opens showing the trade summary
- Add your notes, observations, or lessons learned
- Add tags to categorize the trade
- Save to create your journal entry
The icon shows a book if a journal already exists for that position, or a pencil if no journal exists yet.
For more detailed journaling with chart screenshots, click the chart icon to go to the full Position Details page.
Editing Commission
You can manually adjust commission values for individual positions:
- Click on the commission amount in the table
- A modal opens where you can enter the new commission value
- Click Save to apply the change
This is useful if:
- Your broker file had incorrect commission data
- You want to apply a different commission tier to specific positions
- Exchange fees or other charges need to be included
Commission edits only apply to that specific position. They do not change your default broker commission settings.
Mobile View
On mobile devices, the Position Log switches to a card-based layout:
- Each position is displayed as an individual card
- Cards show all key information in an easy-to-read format
- Use the journal and details buttons on each card to access those features
The broker filter features work the same on mobile as they do on desktop.
Position Details Page
Click the chart icon on any position to see the full Position Details page, which includes:
- Complete execution history (all entries and exits that make up the position)
- Entry and exit timestamps
- Duration of the position
- Full journal editor with chart screenshot upload
- Commission breakdown
- P&L calculation details
Empty States
If you haven't imported any trades yet, the Position Log shows a helpful message with:
- If no broker is configured: A button to go to Settings and configure your first broker
- If a broker is configured but no trades: A button to upload or sync your trades
