TiltedTrades is currently in beta testing. All features are available for free. Premium plans will be introduced in the future with additional features like AI-powered trade analysis and advanced backtesting.

Managing Your Billing
Once premium plans are available, you'll be able to manage your subscription through the Stripe customer portal.
Accessing the Billing Portal
- Go to Settings > Subscription
- Click the "Manage Billing" button
- You'll be redirected to Stripe's secure customer portal
What You Can Do in the Portal
- View billing history and invoices
- Update payment method (credit card, debit card)
- Update billing address
- Download receipts for accounting
- Upgrade or downgrade your plan
- Cancel subscription
Upgrading Your Plan
When premium plans launch, upgrading will be straightforward:

Prorated Billing
If you upgrade mid-billing cycle:
- You'll be charged the prorated amount for the remainder of the current period
- Your renewal date stays the same
- New features become available immediately
Downgrading Your Plan
How Downgrading Works
- Access the billing portal
- Select a lower-tier plan
- Confirm the change
When Changes Take Effect
- Downgrades take effect at the end of your current billing period
- You retain premium features until the end of your paid period
- You won't be charged for the next billing cycle at the higher rate
Data Retention
Your data is never deleted when you downgrade:
- All trades, journals, and balance entries are preserved
- Premium-only features become unavailable but data remains
- If you upgrade again later, all historical data is still accessible
Canceling Your Subscription
How to Cancel
- Go to the billing portal via Settings > Subscription
- Click "Cancel Plan"
- Provide optional feedback about why you're canceling
- Confirm cancellation
What Happens After Cancellation
- Your subscription remains active until the end of your billing period
- You retain access to premium features until the paid period ends
- After that, your account reverts to the free tier (when available) or becomes read-only
- Your data is never deleted - you can always reactivate
Subscriptions are billed in advance. If you cancel mid-month, you won't receive a prorated refund, but you'll keep access until the end of your paid period.
Payment Methods
TiltedTrades uses Stripe for secure payment processing. Accepted payment methods include:
- Credit Cards: Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover
- Debit Cards: Most major debit cards
- Digital Wallets: Apple Pay, Google Pay (when available)
Updating Your Payment Method
- Access the billing portal
- Click "Update Payment Method"
- Enter new card details
- Save changes
Billing Cycle and Renewals
Monthly Billing
- Charges occur on the same day each month
- Automatic renewal unless canceled
- Renewal reminder sent 3 days before billing
Annual Billing (Future)
When annual plans are introduced, they may offer:
- Discounted pricing (typically 10-20% off monthly rate)
- Single annual charge
- Same features as monthly plan
Billing Issues and Support
Failed Payment
If a payment fails:
- You'll receive an email notification
- TiltedTrades will retry the charge automatically over several days
- Update your payment method to avoid service interruption
- If payment continues to fail, your account may be downgraded
Disputed Charges
If you see an unexpected charge:
- Check your billing portal for invoice details
- Review your plan and renewal date
- Contact support at billing@tiltedtrades.com if the charge is incorrect
Requesting Invoices
All invoices are available in the billing portal:
- Download as PDF for accounting purposes
- View payment history going back to your first charge
- Invoices include full transaction details and tax information
Tax and VAT
US Customers
Sales tax may be applied based on your billing address and local tax laws.
International Customers
VAT or GST may be applied for customers in certain countries. Tax rates are determined by:
- Your billing address
- Local tax regulations
- Whether you've provided a valid tax ID
Tax ID for Businesses
If you're a business in an EU country, you can add your VAT ID in the billing portal to avoid VAT charges (reverse charge).
Grandfathered Pricing
Beta users who subscribe before premium plans launch may be eligible for special pricing:
- Early Adopter Discount: Reduced rate locked in for as long as you remain subscribed
- Lifetime Beta Tier: Possible access to enhanced features on the free tier
- No Forced Upgrades: You'll never be required to upgrade to a paid plan

Will I be charged during the beta?
No. The current beta version is completely free with no credit card required.
When will premium plans launch?
We don't have a specific date yet. We'll announce pricing and premium features well in advance and give existing users time to decide.
Can I export my data before canceling?
Yes. You can export all your data (trades, journals, balance entries) at any time from Settings > Data & Privacy. We recommend exporting before canceling.
What happens to my data if I don't pay?
Your data is never deleted due to non-payment. Your account may be downgraded to a free tier or become read-only, but you can always reactivate by updating your payment method.
Do you offer refunds?
Subscriptions are non-refundable, but if you cancel, you'll retain access until the end of your paid period. If you experience technical issues preventing use of the service, contact support.
